As a globally operating company engaged in offshore wind farm projects worldwide, we continuously strive to gain international experience and exchange know-how. The recent trip of our project team in Poland to the construction site of the Moray West offshore wind farm in Scotland underscores our determination in achieving this goal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To facilitate a more comprehensive visit, it was divided into two sessions, during which each group had the opportunity for a deeper immersion into the construction process. Both groups visited the port in Nigg, where they could directly observe components of the Moray West offshore wind farm, including Transition Pieces (TP) used in its construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first group visited the installation port, where they had the chance to inspect monopiles, serving as the foundation for the Moray West farm, which will also be utilized in the BC-Wind project. Their visit to the installation vessel allowed them to understand loading procedures and familiarize themselves with the equipment used. This invaluable experience expanded their knowledge and skills in offshore wind farm construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second group had the opportunity to observe the loading of blades onto the vessel and familiarize themselves with the gondola loading process. Their involvement in these practical activities enabled them to better understand the scale and logistics of the Moray West project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visits, discussions also took place regarding project challenges, implementation issues, and lessons learned. Moray West farm employees shared their experiences, providing valuable insights and knowledge that will be invaluable for our team developing the project in the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moray West project is an offshore wind farm located off the coast of Scotland, developed by a consortium comprising Ocean Winds, EDPR, and Ignitis Group. It has obtained all necessary permits and has an agreement for the sale of a significant portion of its output. The project is set to commence energy production in 2024 with a planned operational lifespan of over 25 years. With 60 wind turbines covering an area of 225 km\u00b2, generating capacity of 882 MW, Moray West will be capable of powering up to 1.33 million homes, avoiding emissions of over 1.1 million tons of greenhouse gases annually.
