We have completed the second edition of the \u201cCareer with the Wind\u201d educational programme, delivered at the W\u0142adys\u0142aw Orkan Complex of Schools No. 2 in Szczecin. The two-year programme concluded with a final meeting with students, providing an opportunity to summarise the knowledge they had gained and to discuss career development opportunities in the offshore wind sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Launched in 2021, \u201cCareer with the Wind\u201d has become a permanent part of our educational activities. It is a key element of building local content and developing the competencies needed to support the offshore wind sector in the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From theory to offshore practice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme was designed to guide participants through the full lifecycle of an offshore wind farm. Students interested in the renewable energy sector not only explored theoretical aspects but, most importantly, took part in workshops led by industry practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to our cooperation with the Industrial Development Academy, which was responsible for the training component, participants gained insights into:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the specifics of working in modern heavy and maritime industries,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
technical requirements and safety standards applicable to offshore wind farms,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
certification pathways and qualifications required to enter the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The Baltic Sea as a major construction site and an opportunity for the region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the final meeting, Kacper Kostrzewa, Managing Director for Poland, presented the current status of projects in our portfolio, including the progress of the BC-Wind project. For the students, it was an opportunity to better understand the scale of the investments being delivered, the role offshore wind plays in Poland\u2019s energy transition, and the importance of the skills they are developing in meeting the future needs of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kacper Kostrzewa<\/p>As offshore wind develops, it is not only about investments in infrastructure, steel and cables, but above all about investing in people. The \u2018Career with the Wind\u2019 programme demonstrates how important it is to build career awareness already at the secondary education level and to create real development pathways for those who will become the backbone of Poland\u2019s energy sector in the coming years.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Long-term commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
We see the development of local talent as a long-term process. We consistently implement educational and social initiatives to support the preparation of specialists who will help shape the offshore wind sector in Poland in the years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCareer with the Wind\u201d is one of the key elements of this approach \u2013 combining education with practice and showing young people real career opportunities in the renewable energy sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, we have extended our patronage to another class at the Complex of Schools No. 2 in Szczecin, continuing our commitment to developing future talent for the offshore wind industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
