Ocean Winds awarded for the “Career with the Wind” program

Ocean Winds has been recognized by the jury of the “Power of Transformation” competition, organized by Puls Biznesu, for its efforts in supporting skills development in the renewable energy sector. The jury highlighted the educational program “Career with the Wind,” which for the past five years has been helping young people build knowledge and skills in offshore wind energy while also supporting the development of
a local job market.

The goal of the “Power of Transformation” competition is to promote projects and initiatives that genuinely contribute to the green transformation of the economy, raise public awareness, and develop the competencies of future specialists in the renewable
energy sector. The jury consists of experts in energy, education, and energy transition, who evaluate submissions based on innovation, scalability, and social impact.

The “Career with the Wind” program is Ocean Winds’ flagship educational initiative, designed to support the growth of offshore wind energy in Poland and strengthen the skills of future professionals in the sector. It was created in response to the rapid development of the industry and the growing demand for qualified specialists—one of the key challenges for a successful energy transition.

As part of the program, participants gain practical knowledge about offshore wind energy, develop technical and industry-specific skills, and explore career opportunities in the sector. The initiative also offers insight into the realities of working in renewable energy, helping young people better understand the nature and needs of this fast-growing market.

The program is delivered in cooperation with the Industrial Development Academy and
is aimed at students of technical and vocational schools. Since its launch, it has
reached over 900 students from five partner schools, including:

  • Energy School Complex in Gdańsk
  • Kazimierz Pułaski Mechanical-Electrical School Complex in Częstochowa
  • Władysław Orkan School Complex No. 2 in Szczecin
  • Stanisław Staszic District Schools Complex in Kłanino
  • District Education Center in Puck

The “Career with the Wind” program goes beyond traditional education by supporting the development of competencies essential for the growth of offshore wind energy in Poland. The initiative helps prepare the future workforce of the offshore wind sector and strengthens the foundations of the energy transition by combining social goals with the long-term development of the renewable energy industry.
